I was watching vh1 the other day and heard about the phenomenon known as Chuck Norris Facts.
I think it started with Conan O'Brien then the World of Warcraft players took it to the next level.
A lot of them are really funny.
The one that made me LOL while I was watching vh1 was:
"Chuck Norris' calendar goes straight from March 31st to April 2nd; no one fools Chuck Norris."

Don't ask me why I found it as funny as I did. It must have caught me off guard.

A tornado watch? In my area? Talk about random.
I kid you not, a few minutes ago it was all bright and sunny and I look up from the computer...it's now dark and windy and ooooooh.

I was going to play tonight, but I don't think the weather will allow it.

I think I'll start today with the underwhelming premiere of 'Three Rivers' this weekend.
Perhaps my expectations for another Alex O'Loughlin series were too high, 'cause I was fairly disappointed.
I'm going to give it more time. But first impressions, meh.
I'm not expecting the excitement of 'Moonlight', but come on, where's the energy?
It lacked squee factor. Yeah, that's it. The moments where you gasp and go all fangirly.
Maybe it'll get better. *fingers crossed*

Now 30 Seconds to Mars, they're delivering the squee factor.
If it weren't for Q it's hard telling how long I'd have been in dark about the new single.
They've got it posted on their website, and it is MOST excellent.
I was burnt out on their tunes, but after hearing the new song I'm definitely in the mood to listen to nothing but 30STM for the rest of the day.
Even if you're not a fan, you should got to their site and have a listen, you might be pleasantly surprised.

...and in a timely fashion.
I'm not entirely overjoyed with it, feels like there's something missing.
But if you tinker too much the results can be absolutely disastrous, so it's probably better to err on the side of caution.

Now if there were more hi-res pics of Alexander and Fassy things would go a lot smoother.
I thought for sure I'd end up with a darker vampire/nephilim header, but for whatever reason it went in the opposite direction.
Who knows why these things play out the way they do.

In random news, I can't get over the awesomeness that is John Simm in 'The Devil's Whore'.
He was brilliant. He's definitely on my radar now.
Of course Fassy was wonderful too, but I couldn't help but notice John Simm.
If you haven't seen it, you really should.

Last thing, check out the kickass animated Captain Jack Harkness moodtheme courtesy of cowboyhd.
It makes me smile :D

And totally digging it.
milou_veronica has some of the coolest layouts, this is one of her newer ones.
Temporary header in place until I can kick the Muse into gear.
I'm thinking Fassy/Alexander Skarsgård. Provided I find the right images of course.
The hi-res pics of Fass and Alex are few and far between, which sucks, because they're both so damned hot.
Also need to redo my userpics soon, as always.
If I weren't so anal about how they're organized it wouldn't be a big deal, but I am, so what can I do?

Dude, 'True Blood' has been unbelievably good the past couple of weeks.
It sucks there's only three epi's left. I'm thoroughly addicted to this show.
I used to be all about Vampire Bill, but lately, it's all about this tall drink of water:

The more I watch, the more addicted I get.
If the creators of the show hadn't given him more screen time I'd probably still be interested in Vampire Bill.
But now that they have it would seem Vampire Bill just can't compare.
Hope Anna Paquin doesn't decide to run off with Alexander Skarsgård and leave poor Stephen Moyer in the dust.
It'd certainly be tempting.

I had an impacted wisdom tooth cut out a couple weeks ago and yesterday I finally got my stitches out.
Can't tell you how happy I am.
It's rather difficult chewing on one side of your mouth, especially when there's a gap from a previous tooth extraction and when the side you're chewing on is the side with the TMJ problem.
Anything hard or overly chewy was out.
Haven't had cereal in upwards of two months, not since the pain started.
I've missed cereal so very much. A bowl of Honeycombs makes my world go round.
So off the meds, the pain is more or less gone, aside from the TMJ pain, which I'll have to live with until I can afford orthodontia.

Now, if only Aunt Flo hadn't decided to visit today, I'd be feeling BRILLIANT.

Wanted a bit of a challenge, I got one. Saucy wenches.
Very tough letters, as I was working on the lists, I kept thinking,
"Why not J or L or M? These letters I've got lots of ideas for."
Isn't that always the way though?
I bet if I had sat down with those letters, I'd still have trouble.

1. Ryan Reynolds, Robert Downey Jr., Richard Armitage, Robert Pattinson...and a number of others..is this cheating?

2. Rain - Love the rain, the smell, the feel, the sight, sound of it, 'specially rain on a tin roof, absolutely melodic

3. Racy Romance Novels - bodice rippers are my guilty pleasure, the hotter the better...

4. Ranger - character from the Stephanie Plum series, Cheese and Rice, the things I would do to that man

5. Roadtrips - lord how I miss going on road trips, turning the radio way up, windows down, hair blowing all over the place, good times

I can't tell you how tempted I was to do Trek, Star. *snickers*

1. Torchwood - PLEASE no Children of the Earth Spoilers, I know TPTB have gone and done something really really stupid, but I want to find out all on my own.
Ever since Captain Jack Harkness appeared on my screen, soaking wet in vintage clothing, I was hooked.
And honestly, who doesn't like watching Jack/Ianto snog the hell out of each other?

2. Tomo - I'm not as into Tomo as Q or Rita, but I like him well enough, I really like his Gaian alterego.

3. Trevor Goodchild - The role/character that gave Marton Csokas a permanent spot on my roster.

4. Tea - Hot in the winter, cool and iced up in the summer, that's how I like it.

5. Tweaking - As in the little adjustments that make things just right...ie: LJ & Photoshop.
No way I was going to find the right picture for this one.

6. True Blood - Vampires, Sex, Intrigue, this show is so frickin' awesome...I highly recommend it!

7. Tennant, David - I'm such a fan he gets his own cheatastic mention.
Hell, his hair alone needs a mention, he brings the spikey hair to new heights and I LOVE him for it.

8. Twelfth Night, Or What You Will - One of my favorite Shakespeare Plays, I particularly like the movie version, with Toby Stephens of course.

9. Timothy Hutton, Toby Stephens, Timothy Olyphant & Topher Grace.....and a few others.

10. Transformers -
Don't judge me, I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and eagerly awaiting my chance to see the second.
Shia intrigues me, the robots are so damn cool and I've always loved the look of Michael Bay films, he does magical things with lighting.
And honestly, don't you need a movie every once in a while that doesn't require a lot of thought? A movie there for pure entertainment?

June is over and done with, thank the Lord for small wonders.
Had a great Fourth this year.
Arts and Crafts show with Mum as per our yearly tradition and a new tradition, I hope, a family cookout at my oldest brother's house.
Okay, so it rained all weekend, but at least we were spared thunder and lightning.

I really want to get back into my graphics work, so RL permitting, I'm certainly going to try.
I've had icons sitting in my folder for ages, just waiting to be posted.
So with any luck that'll be on the horizon.

Random side notes, really enjoying "Merlin" & "True Blood".
New Torchwood and Doctor Who (which I'm having a hard time bring myself to watch) coming this month.
Thank you BBCAmerica for showing "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?", "Any Dream Will Do", and Torchwood repeats, so's I can get my John Barrowman fix.
And let's face it, Graham Norton too, because he's so damn flamboyant and funny.

It's been a rough coupla weeks.
I'll not go into it here, but I do want to thank my ladies for their support.

Taking it day by day and trying, and sometimes failing, to remain upbeat.
I know it's been good to get back to my usual internet activities.
Case in point, picking out a new lj layout.
It's a simple thing, playing with my lj, but it cheers me up, so don't judge too harshly.
I'm not 100% set on this one, but it'll serve my purposes for now.
Creating the header will be the hard part as always. Damn Muse.

And seriously, *head desk* after all that userpic work, I think I'll have to redo them again, because I noticed one of my Fassy icons looks awful.
It's not noticeable on darker monitors, but on mine, yikes. Shoddy shoddy work.
Color me embarrassed.

This weather has been entirely too sporadic.
Bright and sunny, then wham, dark clouds roll in and vice versa.
The upside, time I usually spend on the 'net has been spent watching the original Star Trek series. I'm smurfin' lovin' it.
My local library is so awesome. Got season three today.
It took no time at all for me to start shipping the hell out of Kirk/Spock/Bones.
They really don't make shows like they used to.

The sweet relief of FINALLY finishing my userpic re-upload.
New interests, means icon hunting and making, trying to decide which ones I'd be more likely to use. Yadda yadda yadda.

Choosing something and sticking with it is a hard thing for a Gemini to do. :D
Q understands, Libra's have similar difficulties.

In hindsight there is one icon I wish I hadn't chosen, but there's no smurfin' way I'm removing it. No sir. It can wait til the next time. I'll just try and roll with it. *snort*

New header coming soon methinks, maybe a new layout.
I'm thinking Spock/Kirk/Bones. Oh yeah. Original or newbies or both, we'll see.

Star Trek was superb! I've hardly the words to express myself.
Lemme just say that Karl was brilliant. Wooden acting my ass.
His lines got the most laughter. The man so needs to do a comedy film.

And now I finally understand why everyone is so into Zachary Quinto. The man is ace.
Figure I'll have to hunt up some Quito icons now.

Drat, I can't remember if there was a Bones/Sulu one on one exchange.

I feel like bouncing in my chair.
I could totally watch the whole thing all over again right this minute.
But alas I must wait for the DVD release or a little help from my friend Captain Jack.

Dudes, next film, after Angels & Demons that I'll really have to see, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

It was up against 'Lost', so it's not like it got a fair shot.
Now we'll never know what happens between Charlie and Reese or Ted and Olivia. GAH!
Total bollocks.
